Village Adventist Elementary School
Education for Eternity
We aspire to be the best school for your children to receive christian education.
What we do
We are a Kindergarten through 8th grade school located in Berrien Springs, Michigan near the campus of Andrews University. We have a dynamic Christian learning environment built on spiritual themes, scripture memorization, in depth Bible study, outdoor / nature education, and applying spiritual principles in daily life. Contact us to schedule a visit and find out more about our program.
It is the harmonious development of the physical, the mental, and the spiritual powers. It prepares the student for the joy of service in this world and for the higher joy of wider service in the world to come.” Education 13.1
At the Village School students learn practical life skills and are able to choose from a variety of classes that will broaden their understanding and appreciation of the arts, crafts, industry and science. Courses such as automotive maintenance, construction, culinary arts, financial literacy and yearbook, to name a few, provide our students with hands on practical learning that will prepare them for life and broaden their understanding of the world around them.
God is the center of spiritual life at the Village School. Whether the students are studying the Bible in class, attending weekly chapel services conducted by the Village Church pastors, praying together during daily worship time or ministering to others in one of the school’s many outreach programs, they learn and grow in Christ.
The goal at the Village School is that every student will know and choose to follow Jesus Christ in this life and for eternity. The teachers and staff lead our students by precept and example in knowing, loving and serving God
“For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.” Proverbs 2:6
We believe that God is the source of all true wisdom and understanding, therefore academics at the Village School are centered around knowing and following God. While our students learn all the typical subjects taught in other schools, and academic excellence is one of our goals, at Village the focus is on learning to know, follow and serve our Creator and bring honor and glory to His name.
Nature is a book that God uses to reveal who He is and what His children can be when they follow Him. At the Village School, science and nature education play a vital role in developing a student’s inquisitive mind and a greater understanding of their Creator and the creation around them. Hands-on learning both on and off campus is designed to engage students in the active study of science and nature, in conjunction with the study of the Bible.
Outdoor education trips include: Forest Fridays to local outdoor sites, K-3 Spicer Lake Trip, the fifth grade Outdoor School at Camp Ausable, the sixth grade Geology Trip to Mammoth Caves, the seventh grade Florida Keys Marine Biology Trip and the eighth grade Educational Tour.
